Why Reviewing Your Electrical Plan Matters

Most people walk into their electrical appointment with a base layout — but no real support. What’s offered might meet minimums, but it rarely reflects how your home will actually be lived in.

You're working with a consultant who may be knowledgeable about the product list, but not necessarily about your lifestyle, future needs, or the best way to plan lighting, power, data, and automation around your daily habits.

At New Home Guardians, we take the time to slow things down and think it through — room by room, zone by zone. We look at what’s missing, what might be overkill, and what needs adjusting before it's locked in.

From smart home prep to speaker systems, TV points, external lighting, solar readiness, and simple things like hallway switches — we help you spot what others miss. We guide your decisions with care, not pressure.

Our goal is simple:
To make sure your home is wired for how you actually live — not just what’s been templated — so you move forward with confidence, clarity, and the right plan.

Understand the Wiring Behind Your Home.

Lighting Layout

We review internal and external lighting zones — so every switch, downlight, and feature light feels intentional, not reactive.

Power Point Planning

We check locations, quantities, and access — including double-ups, missing areas, and appliances you may not have thought about yet.

Data & NBN Readiness

From modem position to hardwired devices, we help future-proof your network layout and avoid weak signal zones.

Smart Home Planning

We guide where prep is needed for automation, voice control, and connected devices — whether you’re going smart now or later.

TV & Speaker Systems

We assess wall points, pre-wires, and entertainment zones — including sound and cinema setups before plaster is on.

Solar & External Zones

From driveway lighting to solar conduit prep — we help you plan for efficiency, future tech, and a smarter exterior layout.

Overlooked Items

We flag missing items like garage sensors, fridge power, vanity lighting, pool equipment zones, and practical add-ons you’ll wish you had.

Documentation Clarity

We break down your electrical drawings and builder inclusions — so you know what’s locked in and where you still have options.

Without New Home Guardians, Here's What You're Missing

18 Years of Inside Knowledge — Now Working for You

We’ve spent 18 years inside the building industry — reviewing layouts, running appointments, and solving design challenges before they become regrets. Now that insight is focused entirely on protecting your outcome — not your builder’s margins.

Power and Lighting with Purpose

We help you think beyond minimums — checking your electrical plan for real-life use, practical upgrades, and smarter choices from room to room.

Smart Prep, Not Guesswork

From smart home wiring to data points and media setups — we guide the prep work that needs to happen now, so it doesn’t cost more later.

Clarity Before You Commit

We help you understand what’s included, what’s assumed, and what’s worth questioning — so you can finalise your plan with confidence.

Independent Guidance

We don’t sell systems. We don’t push upgrades. We give you honest, practical guidance — built around your needs, not someone else’s sales process.

Which Electrical Design Option is Right for You?

Your Questions, Answered

What if I’ve already planned most of my electrical layout?

It’s still well worth reviewing.
We’ll walk through your layout and selections together and make sure they align with how you actually live — from furniture placement to tech needs.
If your contract isn’t signed yet, a display meeting (Guardian Companion) can help you visualise things better.

What happens during the display home meeting?

We’ll explore layout, switches, lighting styles, smart wiring, and everyday functionality.
Display homes often show what's possible — but may not reflect what’s in your contract.
We help you cross-check against your inclusions and plan for smarter upgrades.
The session is scheduled for up to two hours to ensure nothing is overlooked.

Do you attend my electrical appointment with me?

Yes — if you’ve booked the Guardian Deep Dive package, we’ll attend in person.
We’ll help you plan for now and later, ask questions the consultant may not, and ensure your selections reflect how you’ll live in the home.

Will you speak directly to my builder or electrical consultant?

If needed, yes.
We’re happy to communicate directly with your builder or supplier to confirm product specs, layout questions, or electrical variations.
Depending on the package and timing, we’ll step in where helpful — and always with your approval first.

Why is there an asterisk (*) next to the price?

Our pricing is based on homes with a total build quote under $1,000,000.
If your project is highly custom or has complex electrical needs (e.g. home cinema, full automation), we may need extra time.
We’ll flag that in advance and confirm pricing before going ahead.

How does payment work for Electrical Design Support?

Payment is broken into stages.
Your deposit secures the first stage of Electrical Design Support and begins the process.
Each subsequent payment is made before the next component of the service is delivered.

If you choose not to continue after any stage, there’s no pressure or obligation.
This approach gives you clarity, flexibility, and control at every step.
